    Some local residents and expats have opted to hire private ambulance services which offer emergency medical services by highly-trained personnel in state-of-the-art ambulances. The three companies who offer these services are:

    If traveling by road, emergency roadside assistance (non-medical) can be requested by dialing 078. The service is provided free of charge by Mexico’s Tourism Department:

    Proteccion Civil is the State of Nuevo Leon emergency response agency.  They can respond to almost any major emergency call or disaster.  The agency personnel are well-trained and equipped.  http://www.proteccioncivilnl.com.mx/inicio.html

    The U.S. Consulate may be reached by calling 81 8047-3100. After hours, U.S. citizens needing emergency assistance from the consulate may call the duty officer at 81 8362-9126.
