The U.S. Consulate General Nuevo Laredo issued the following Warden Message on October 21:

The Consulate General in Nuevo Laredo has received reports of intermittent gunfire throughout Nuevo Laredo. We recommend that U.S. citizens in Nuevo Laredo remain in their homes until the situation calms.
